STACI Corporation supports an international leader in the fitness equipment manufacturing industry. They are known for high quality and innovative technology throughout the fitness club and high-end home use market. The company continually strives to improve their products and overall value to the consumers by enhancing features while driving out cost. They tapped STACI’s resources and expertise in membrane switches and Printed Circuit Boards (“PCB”) to maintain high quality technology while reducing cost.

Challenge:  The Company has grown to be one of the top producers of exercise equipment. Their growth was fueled by outstanding and groundbreaking technology coupled with high quality workmanship. In addition, their products have always maintained a competitive price point. To retain their competitive market position without jeopardizing any of the quality that they have been known for, they had to find high quality alternative sources that could meet the price targets. Another challenge was that they sell their products internationally, and as such, have a number of small volume customers that require their switches to be printed in their national language.  Nearly 28 different languages needed to be supported.

Our Solution:  As a major manufacturer of exercise equipment, the company has a wide variety of component needs and volume levels.  STACI provided a single stop solution for all of their membrane switches and many of their PCBs.  STACI was able to support all of the technology needed by this company, and the mix of switches needed to support their international customers.  In addition, STACI has established warehousing for all of the companies’ membrane switches to provide increased flexibility during build cycles and higher turns on the manufacturing floor.

The customer has enjoyed a nearly 50% reduction in the cost of their switches and increased flexibility by utilizing STACI’s local warehousing options.
